Abul Wafa is an impact crater located near the lunar equator on the far side of the Moon. The formation spans an official diameter of 54.18 kilometers.

To the east are the crater pair Ctesibius and Heron. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-65.
